Great spot for a weekend getaway
I got a reviving night sleep and breakfast was good. The owner was super friendly too.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but honestly, it was still acceptable.

The location offers easy access to the town and beautiful hills, making it a great base for exploration. Flexibility with breakfast options was a nice touch. traffic noise can be bothersome in front rooms, and the decor feels worn. The shower trim had mildew, and the bathroom floor appeared unclean.

I had a lovely stay at Peakdale Lodge. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home. My room was spotless and cozy, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Breakfast was delightful—freshly cooked and delicious, really set me up for the day. I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere despite being on a main road. The upstairs seating area was a nice bonus, giving extra space to unwind. the room decor felt a bit outdated in some areas and could use a refresh. the traffic noise came through, which might be an issue for light sleepers. Those small flaws didn't overshadow the excellent hospitality and comfort, though. I would gladly return for another visit.
